Testing machine for impact resistance of waterproof membrane

The testing machine for impact resistance of waterproofing membrane is designed according to the national standard GB / T 328.24-2007 test methods for building waterproofing membrane Part 24: impact resistance of asphalt and polymer waterproofing membrane. It is suitable for impact puncture test of asphalt and polymer roofing waterproofing membrane.

The main technical indexes of the machine are as follows:

1. Vertical falling height of falling hammer: (600 ± 5) mm

2. Weight of drop hammer assembly: (1000 ± 10) g

3. Diameter of puncture tool (and counterweight ring): Φ 10 mm (7.5 mm thick counterweight ring), Φ 20 mm (6 mm thick counterweight ring), Φ 30 mm (4 mm thick counterweight ring), Φ 40 mm (none)

4. Dimension and mass of pressure ring: inner diameter Φ 200 mm, (5000 ± 50) g

5. Dimension of stainless steel plate: 300 mm × 300 mm × 10 mm

6. Polystyrene board size: 300 mm × 300 mm × 50 mm

Test steps of impact resistance test machine for waterproofing membrane:

1. Ten specimens of at least 300 mm * 300 mm are cut from the width direction of the coil and placed for at least 24 h under the specified conditions.

2. The test was conducted at (23 ± 2) ℃ and (- 10 ± 2) ℃ if necessary. For the latter condition (- 2) ± 10 ℃. When the specimen is taken out of the freezer, the test shall be carried out within 10s at room temperature.

3. New specimens and new polystyrene plates were used in each test.

4. The specimens were placed flat on the thermal insulation material with the upper surface upward and pressed by the compression ring. The polystyrene plate was placed on the stainless steel plate of the concrete foundation.

5. When released, the drop hammer can fall freely from the vertical height of (600 ± 5) mm from the upper surface of the specimen.

6. The puncture tool should impact the center of the specimen under the pressure ring.

7. The specimen was started with a 10 mm diameter puncture tool, and when the specimen was punctured, a larger diameter puncture tool was used, so as to 40 mm diameter puncture tool.

8. Check whether the test piece is broken down. Coat the surface of the impact area with soap solution and test every 5-10 minutes. Vacuum or pressure method is used to generate 15kpa pressure difference in the impact area, and the upper surface is on the low pressure side. If no air bubble is observed after 60s, it is considered that there is no leakage or perforation.

9. The impact resistance is expressed by the diameter of puncture tool. At least 4 of the 5 specimens of waterproof membrane have no leakage.
